Johnson Creek, Wisconsin
This rapidly developing residential, commercial and retail community known as the “Crossroads with a Future” is the perfect place to visit, shop, dine or call home.

The Village of Johnson Creek is conveniently located halfway between Milwaukee and Madison, at the crossroads of I-94 and Hwy. 26 and is home of The Gobbler, a unique motel and supper club designed by award winning Architect Helmut Ajango.  Even though The Gobbler closed after it’s original owner died in 1979, it remains a hot topic and focus of many websites.

RECREATION
The picturesque Rock River winds through the village, setting the scene for fishing and boating excursions. A few miles west, nature and history lovers can explore Aztalan State Park and Museum (see pg 24), an archaeological site of a 12th century Indian village. Picnic areas, hiking trails, and fishing are all offered at the park.

Just south of Johnson Creek is the Jefferson County Dog Park (see pg 20) which promotes recreation, health and welfare for companion dogs and their caregivers.  Also south of the Village is mid-point access to the Glacial Drumlin State Bike Trail (see pg 55). Bikers, hikers, and snowmobile enthusiasts are sure to enjoy this 53-mile off-road trail.  You can also visit the replica of a historic gazebo along with a new playground and basketball court for great family fun.

SHOPPING
The village is home to Johnson Creek Premium Outlets (see inside front cover) where you will find an exciting collection of 60 outlet stores from the world’s leading designers and brand names, offering savings of 25-65% everyday. Shop Adidas, Ann Taylor Factory Store, Banana Republic Factory Store, Calvin Klein, Carter’s, Coach, Columbia Sportswear Co., Eddie Bauer Outlet, Gap Outlet, Gymboreee Outlet, Nike Clearance Store, Polo Ralph Lauren Factory Store, Tommy Hilfiger and more.  Visit their website to become a VIP Shopper and get exclusive coupons for your favorite stores plus “Deals Around Town” from local hotels, spas and restaurants.

You will also find traditional shopping at the Menards/Kohl’s plaza.  Be sure to visit the Johnson Creek Clay Studio, a specialty potter’s studio and workshop, by appointment.

Find great bargains when rummaging through all the garage sales at our village wide Spring & Fall Rummage-O-Rama.

Need a day of pampering?  In our historic Village, located next to the post office, visit J&A Studio offering hair and nail services, massage, make-up and more!
