Maestro de Waart is only the sixth artistic director to wield the baton in MSO’s fifty year history. MSO will perform a concert of classical music featuring pieces by Mozart, Mendelssohn, Rossini, Chabrier, Bizet and Rimsky-Korsakov, under the skillful direction of Stuart Chafetz. As the MSO looks to the future, it will continue to comfort, educate, entertain, and exhilarate the human soul through events of cultural significance, relevance, and artistic challenge and to embrace, preserve, and foster musical heritage.
