Exciting changes are coming to the Milwaukee Symphony, the 2009-10 season marks the first year of the Edo de Waart era. Maestro de Waart is only the sixth artistic director to wield the baton in MSO’s fifty year history. MSO will perform a concert of classical music featuring pieces by Mozart, Mendelssohn, Rossini, Chabrier, Bizet and Rimsky-Korsakov, under the skillful direction of Stuart Chafetz. As the MSO looks to the future, it will continue to comfort, educate, entertain, and exhilarate the human soul through events of cultural significance, relevance, and artistic challenge and to embrace, preserve, and foster musical heritage.

Step into the Kit Kat Club and into the decadent world of 1929 Berlin where we meet Sally Bowles and Cliff Bradshaw and a host of other colorful characters. The musical Cabaret is the winner of 12 Tony awards including Best Musical in ’67 and Best Revival in ’98, in addition to eight Oscars for the ‘78 motion picture. There are many activities to enjoy on your own this weekend. Take nature hikes, enjoy a bon fire and participate in several activities to earn a Jr. Ranger Badge. Our Rec Rangers will be in training this weekend so they will schedule a few planned activities as well: crafts, bingo and a Hey! Hey! Ride with Ranger Smith. On Sunday morning, Ranger Smith will present our new Jr. Rangers with their badges!
